‘The Festival of Trucks, Drivers and Life on the Road’
On 22nd and 23rd July, Donington Park will host tens of thousands of truck enthusiasts, drivers and race fans for the British Truck Championship and Convoy in the Park. This event will be a spectacular weekend, involving 9 truck races, show trucks, vintage trucks and other truck-related fun.
Paneltex is proud to have some presence at what promises to be a fantastic event. We have recently been working closely with Guest Truck and Van to develop a high payload, highly thermally efficient range of refrigerated box-bodied IVECO trucks. Above our Daily panel van offering, this range begins with the 7.2T GVW Daily, includes the 18T Eurocargo and extends up to the 26T Stralis. The high quality of these vehicles is a real source of pride for us and the opportunity to display one of them at Convoy in the Park is very exciting for us.
On the Guest Truck and Van stand over the weekend, our 26T Stralis will be on display. With double rear doors, double side doors and an 8.6m insulated body, this vehicle is capable of holding an internal temperature of between -18°C and +4°C.
With certified ATP Class C bodywork, two rows of internal load restraint track, rear air suspension, a Dhollandia DHSK S2.20 retractable tail-lift and a Seven Telematics Transcan temperature logger, this is an efficient and effective truck for the transport of refrigerated and frozen goods. It has a curved roof at the front and a rear roof vortex, which increases fuel efficiency by efficiently channelling the air over the rear of the roof.
The refrigeration unit is a highly efficient undermount supplied by Carrier Transicold, which is itself fully Euro 6 compliant – not a common occurrence for heavy refrigerated trucks. This is achievable thanks to the unit’s efficient use of the power available. It is a TRS Twin-Cool, Dual-Evaporator unit, which is driven from the engine power take-off (PTO), making it an effective environmentally-friendly option.
We’re excited to be able to offer a chance to see this unique truck at Convoy in the Park at Donington this weekend and hope that anyone who visits the Guest Truck and Van stand finds its particular features interesting.
