Paneltex manufacturing and commercial vehicle sustainability
The next years will see a significant change in the production and operation of commercial vehicles. We, at Paneltex, have spent years preparing for this transition, to make it as smooth as possible.
For the last decade, we have been developing and improving our own range of all-electric trucks. These battery electric vehicles have zero GHG emissions at the tailpipe and minimal running costs. With a GVWR of either 7.5 or 11 tonnes and a range of between 80 and 130 miles, the current Paneltex electric vehicle is well-placed to deliver products much more efficiently than an equivalent diesel vehicle.
This project began in 2007 and there have been Paneltex Electric Vehicles on the roads in the UK since 2008, proving that this technology is effective and reliable. Paneltex has proven the concept of electric goods vehicles works and is now ready to support the industry through its uptake of these vehicles.
Our range of truck chassis is based on the rugged Isuzu Grafter and it combines a brushless permanent magnet electric drive train with the latest lithium ion phosphate battery technology. Offering rapid charge capability and a great driving experience, these vehicles have low running costs, low maintenance costs and zero emissions on the road – the perfect urban delivery solution.
