J&R Food Service Ltd takes delivery of six more Paneltex temperature-controlled vehicle bodies.
Despite the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, J&R Food Service has taken delivery of 6 new Paneltex insulated 3.5t dual-temperature box bodies. Fitted to Isuzu N35.120 chassis cabs supplied by AK Commercials of Bristol and sporting GAH XTD21 twin evaporator refrigeration systems, the vehicles are designed for multi-drop chilled and frozen deliveries, with racking in each compartment.
The vehicle specifications have evolved over previous orders, designed collaboratively between J&R and Paneltex to ensure optimal usability. Key improvements to the latest generation of vehicles include enhancements in loading and carrying goods, ensuring delicate food products are delivered to J&R’s customers in the South West in pristine condition.
The new vehicles are a part of J&R’s flexible response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In answer to the ever-changing needs of consumers, they have developed a home delivery service for the general public, allowing families, key workers, and vulnerable people access to essential goods. J&R’s commitment to quality includes sourcing food products locally where possible and continuing to increase their selection of local products weekly.
This commitment to British-made excellence extends beyond the products J&R provide. When asked about the working relationship between J&R and Paneltex, Mr Yan Whitechurch, Managing Director at J&R stated that “we choose Paneltex to supply our vehicle bodywork as they repeatedly prove their capability to produce a quality, durable product with a great back-up service. They continually work with us to further develop the design and support us in enriching our delivery experience for both our drivers and customers.”
In the uncertain times ahead, adaptability is key; companies like J&R and Paneltex are leading the way, working together to create better solutions for a better tomorrow.
