The role involves taking prepared components and constructing these into panels by the use of a glue machine. Bonding together to make bigger panels, with inserts of steel, aluminium and conduits.
Skills, attributes and experience required:
Basic experience using air- and hand-tools
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and plans
Ability to meet targets and work to deadlines
High work ethic & team player
Punctual & reliable
Flexible approach to overtime
Some understanding of vacuum pressing
Duties, Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
QA inspection of goods is required prior to trimming, so use of tape measure is important
Carry out the press work to products according to engineering drawing instructions
Work with polyurethane glues
Filling in paperwork and logging of panels
3.00pm – Midnight Monday to Thursday and 11.30am – 6.00pm Fridays.
Willingness and ability to work overtime, particularly on Saturday mornings, and work to different shift patterns in future would be a definite advantage. A premium rate of pay will be available for unsociable hours.
